tHE WORLD THROUGH LITERATURE

Meet Our Writers
Lukanyo Msweli Mbanga
My name is Lukanyo and welcome to In the Light Room! When life throws its lemons there’s nothing that calms me more than walking into a library or bookstore. I hope this blog will fill you with the same ease. Through books we can tap into many hidden and compressed universes. And while these worlds only live on paper, they can also inspire us to seize the days of this short life. So my bookish friends, I hope you find something here that inspires you to live outside the pages as much as within them.
Ayanda
Hi, I’m Ayanda. I am so excited to join In the Light Room! I am a student with special interest in Psychology and Media Studies and I aspire to become a renowned author. Combining my academic background with my creative endeavours, I aim to craft compelling stories that captivate and inspire readers. My interest in storytelling is reflected in my current writing projects, where I explore the real-life affairs that affect many and blend them with imaginative narratives. I hope you enjoy some of the things I have to say and I hope they inspire you to connect more with your creative side.
N.S Izegbu
To my very bones, I am a curious, young woman. The conviction that motivated my current contribution to this blog is this: wherever stories exist, there are conversations to have. Trite as this sentiment may be, deep and earnest engagement with the media we consume does reveal truths about ourselves and the world. Like a supportive friend, stories can encourage us to walk the path we are fearful of, but one that we must move past in order to grow. The work I do here, whether it be reviews, commentaries, breakdowns, essays etc, will hopefully reflect this ethos of connection and self-knowledge through the vehicle of stories. So happy reading and stay curious!
